The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam will host the Digital Innovation Think Tank to celebrate the launch of its digital collection this October 30th. The event will precedes the museum's major reopening event scheduled in April of 2013, where a 10 year renovation will finally be complete.

The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is scheduled to reopen its doors in April 2013 following an ambitious 10-year renovation programme. In the meantime, the art museum is launching Rijks Studio, a groundbreaking new digital collection of 125,000 objects from the museum's collection, accessible to all for free. And to celebrate its launch on 30 October, the museum and Wallpaper* are joining forces to host a discussion on digital innovation.

Moderated by Wallpaper* editor-in-chief Tony Chambers, the Digital Innovation Think Tank will tackle a range of pertinent, digitally-focused issues, including the democratisation of art in virtual realms, the boundary between reproduction and plagiarism, and the impact of rapid prototyping on the art world.
