Minimalism embraced in a quasi-suburb of Barcelona. In Sitges one can enjoy a wonderful view of the ocean standing on a lush green hillside and with a view so great why would you create overly complicated homes to clash with the landscape and distract from the wonderful nature.

Stark minimalism has its following, and nowhere is it better embraced than in Sitges, a hilly quasi-suburb of Barcelona.  Here Geibar Constructores and Brazilian-born, Barcelona-based interior architect Jorge Rangel have put together an outstanding home for those delighted by natural light and cured of the squirreling-syndrome of collecting!

There are two unifying forces in this contemporary project.  The obvious lack of color (white works terribly well in spaces where the main focus is to bring the outside in) and the clear, see-through sheets of glass used in the interior and exterior walls AND in parts of the floors to enable more light to penetrate the interior.
