Adam J.W.C The renowned New Year's Eve Celebrations in Sydney, Australia will be incorporating a new interactive aspect to their show. Smartphone equipped onlookers will be offered a free app that will change their phone's display into a light show that will synchronize with the fireworks.
New Year’s Eve celebrations always kick off with Sydney’s memorable fireworks display where over a million people can gather at Sydney harbour to enjoy the spectacle. But this year, Sydney wants the celebration to be a lot more interactive, and an app has been created to allow anyone with a smartphone to join in and (hopefully) create something quite unique.
The app will be made available for free to both iOS and Android devices. The idea being that the app will fill each phone’s display with changing colors in the lead up to midnight. What Sydney is hoping for is lots of smartphones being held to the sky running the app, which in turn will create a light show to equal that of the fireworks. Read More on geek.com
