This last Christmas Eve, Tokyo was overtaken by a posse of motorcycling Santas who rode about the streets before dispersing out into the north. Although the rumors are not confirmed it is believed that the Santa Biker Gang was an idea and event planned on the image board 2channel.

Quote Our reporter was walking through downtown Tokyo on Christmas Eve (alone, of course) when suddenly from behind a large posse of Santas on motorcycles came riding up from behind, filling the streets with the sound of roaring engines and holiday cheer.

After returning home (and still alone), our reporter checked the net and found that Twitter was abuzz with similar sightings.

St. Nick’s biker gang seemed to keep their activity limited to central Tokyo, riding through the Shibuya and Roppongi districts before disappearing into the mysterious northern wilderness (Saitama).
