Mayans Were Wrong, Celebrate in Cancun

Well, the world didn't end and you've blown almost all of your money on frivolous parties, expecting to not need it after December, but the Mayans prediction was wrong and you're left with just enough cash to take a trip somewhere. Celebrate the fact that you're still alive by going to Cancun and swim with the sharks and immerse yourself in a civilization that you once believed could predict the future.

THE Mayans were good at a lot of things, but luckily not predictions... or you wouldn’t be reading this.

The ancient Mexican civilisation built incredible structures, invented the calendar, excelled at maths and had advanced medicine.

And they were also convinced the world would end on December 21.

But we are still here and that is good news — not just because you can open your Christmas presents in a few days.

It means that, like me, you can swim with fish the size of a house, in waters close to where the Mayans made their crazy prediction.
