The Mexican left wing has aligned itself with local businesses in fighting against Chinese-backed commercial projects set to take root in the city of Cancun. Complete with a shopping center, numerous housing units for migrant workers, and several other works, local businesses are fighting tooth and nail to prevent building permits from being issued for the massive undertaking.
