The Shopping festival in Dubai began this past January 3rd and will continue for a full month until February 3rd. The festival was created to promote trade and is now one of the largest in the world. The festival attracts merchants from all over the world. Last year over half of the attendants were from India.

Shopping takes on a different meaning at the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF). Its glitter has drawn more Indians this year to the annual shopping event.

“Over the past few years, we have recorded double digit growth from India for the DSF and we believe this trend will continue. We usually witness approximately 80 per cent load factor from our 10 routes from India,” said Afzal Parambil, Business Development Manager, Emirates Holidays.

DSF began in 1996 as an initiative of the Dubai Government to promote trade. The festival offers a plethora of shopping discounts, attracting holidayers from around the globe. The festival began on January 3 and will go on till February 3.
