For the 18th time, the Amsterdam fashion week began last week. This was no ordinary year as a record was broken or set to be broken rather. 35 catwalk shows will be presented this year. No fashion week before this one in Amsterdam has ever presented this many catwalks.

The catwalk shows staged as part of Amsterdam Fashion Week kicked off on Wednesday evening with shows by students from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute and long-established Dutch design team People of the Labyrinths.

This year, a record 35 catwalk shows will take place, including designers such as Spijkers en Spijkers, gsus industries and Tony Cohen.

This is the 18th time Amsterdam Fashion Week has taken place.
