The opening ceremony will take place on Manezh Square where the symbolic clock is located.

The countdown will start at: 364 days 23 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds before the Olympics.

A similar ceremony will be held in Sochi and in 7 other major cities in Russia.

There will be a big event in the evening at the Olympic Ice Palace in Sochi which will be attended by International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge. He will present invitations to representatives of the National Olympic Committees of Canada, Brazil, South Korea and Russia.
