First Lady and Vice President travel to Colorado for President's Day

Posted: Mar. 4th, 2013  |  By Michael Pearse

President Barack Obama wife and Vice President Joe Bidden will make Colorado their home for Presidents day. After Joe Bidden works the phone with democrats over gun control issues he will take a short ski trip, which will be well apprceciated after all the work he has accomplished, which should come to the delight of Denver's Democrat population.

In the midst of our long winter's nap, Presidents' Day brings a long weekend off for students and federal workers, extra time for skiers to enjoy the slopes and visits to Colorado's high country from celebrities and dignitaries — including Vice President Joe Biden and, traveling separately, first lady Michelle Obama with daughters Sasha and Malia.

The vice president is taking a short ski trip to Snowmass Village after spending Friday working the phone on gun control issues, speaking to several Colorado Democrats about legislation moving through the statehouse.
