Doctors had better be on their toes for the Abu Dhabi Distinction Award ceremony because the competition is tough. Out of 98 applicants only 37 made it to the awards but that doesn’t mean they will be receiving one just yet. It is a matter of who is the best and who stands out distinctly.
Abu Dhabi: 37 doctors in Abu Dhabi have been shortlisted to compete in various categories at the upcoming Abu Dhabi Medical Distinction Award (ADMDA), the Health Authority Abu Dhabi (HAAD) said.
The shortlisted professionals were selected from among 98 applications that met the criteria for the award this year, the HAAD statement said.
Dr Maha Barakat, director general at the HAAD, said that the overarching aim of the awards is to celebrate quality, innovation and excellence in health care in Abu Dhabi.
The winners of the award will be announced at a special ceremony to be held on February 25, under the patronage of Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Counsellor and vice-president of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
