Visitors and locals both will have a yet another must see stop in Johannesburg once the Nigeria Consulate's cultural center in Johannesburg has opened. Dubbed the Okey Emuchay, the center promises a wealth of Nigerian cultural exposure and a memorable taste of the nations diverse history and character.

The Nigeria Consulate in South Africa is to open a cultural centre in Johannesburg, Okey Emuchay, Nigeria’s Consul-General in South Africa said at the 10th Port Harcourt Fashion show which opened in Johannesburg at the weekend.

Emuchay said that the cultural centre would enable the people of South Africa to learn and know more about Nigeria and its various cultures when it goes into operation.

We have a place at Rosebank which served as our old Consulate office before we moved to Rivonia Road.

We plan to turn the place into a Nigeria Cultural Centre where all Nigerians living or visiting South Africa can interact.
