Shogun House, a gorgeous Caribbean retreat, is among the best tropical villa vacation destinations. The Mustique resort was selected by the New York Times as “one of the seven most luxurious rental villas in the Caribbean,” featuring five acres of lush gardens and pristine ocean views. The resort consists of Japanese-themed villas including the Main house, a five-bedroom abode surrounded by East Asian pavilions, and Little Shogun, a two-bedroom retreat with private courtyard and swimming pools.

The Traveller’s Tree Cottage is a tranquil two-bedroom cottage with a wrap-around veranda that boasts both mountain and sea vistas. Guests can look forward to having all activities and excursions planned by the resort’s excellent staff, including bird watching trips, day ventures to Britannia Bay, local sporting events, or tickets to the annual Blues Festival. Weekly, the director of the resort invites villa guests and homeowners to a cocktail party at The Cotton House Hotel for an intimate taste of island hospitality.

Villa guests are welcomed to the Shogun House with a complimentary dinner cooked by Executive Chef John Grant. During the stay, visitors can choose to have Chef Grant select exquisitely prepared meals using fresh, tropical fare or plan the menu themselves. This high end resort also offers golf course access to the Trump International Golf Club on the nearby Canouan Island, a full range of spa treatments at The Cotton House Spa on Endeavor Bay, sailing, swimming on any of Mustique’s nine beaches, and open-air movies beneath the stars.
