Set amidst 2,200 acres of prime real estate near Montego Bay, The Tryall Club features 75 estate villas on the Caribbean waterfront. From the charming two-bedroom homes with classic Jamaican flair, to the modern eight-bedroom properties with private pools, the fully staffed luxury villas won?t soon be forgotten.

With playful names such as ?No Problem,? ?Sea Salt,? and ?Harmony Hill,? each rental villa has its own unique character and spirit. ?Point of View? affords guests sweeping jungle views from the outdoor gazebo and master suite's outdoor shower and tub. The aptly named ?Infinity? offers guests an oversized infinity pool, tastefully themed rooms, and breathtaking ocean views. The sprawling grounds are accessed by golf cart, the names of the villas emblazoned across the hood of the electric carts zipping guests from their villas to the beach, driving range or central Great House. great house villa tryall club
Home to afternoon teatime and happy hour, the Great House also has 13 one- and two-bedroom villas. The swim-up bar in the pool overlooks the ocean and a cool breeze often flows through the open windows of the veranda. The gentle chime of teaspoons hitting saucers accentuates light conversation, and from the perch of the Great House, panoramas of the ocean, golf course and villas come into view. The nearby tennis courts, gift shop, Tryall Market, and Hummingbird Kids Club are all steps from this central hub. Water Wheel at Tryall

The Tryall Club sits on a former plantation, remnants from its previous life found in the 17th century waterwheel, now a showpiece on the golf course. The enchanting, still functioning, waterwheel is fed by the Flint River which was how the plantation provided water to the property. The platform now serves as a distinctive private dining area for a large family party, intimate proposal with a backdrop straight out of a fairytale, or scenic spot to tee off on the stunning course. Diners may recognize some contemporary hits played on the charming and soothing instrument, impromptu sing-alongs to 80s favorites or pop tunes may ensue, depending on how many of the signature cocktails are consumed. Thoughtful touches such as a floral garnish, lashed palm boughs around the gazebo, and delicious cuisine that is par-none, make for a wonderful and memorable dining experience on the water or overlooking the club from the Great House. Dining options, outside the personal chefs of the villas, include the Great House Terrace, Great House Restaurant and Beach Café. Off the jetty from Beach Café is also the Beach Gazebo, suited for an intimate dinner for two under the moonlight, or for a larger party of up to 12. Live music often wafts through the air and mingles with the salty breezes. Make sure to try the “Tryall Waterwheel,” the signature cocktail made with four types of rum and fruit juice while listening to the soft beats of Jamaican steel drums.
With a dedication to environmental sustainability and conservation, The Tryall Club is pioneering the movement in Jamaica. From electric golf carts to their own herb garden and recycling program, the Green Globe Certified Destination maintains an 82% rating on the voluntary system. “Preservation of history, culture and nature are paramount within the operations of The Tryall Club,” explains Denaye Hinds, the director of sustainability. “Sustainable practices and quality service marry together to create an experience of true Jamaican hospitality, coupled with care and consideration for the guest, the environment and the community.” And sustainability never tasted so good—guests can arrange for a lunch in the herb garden, a true farm-to-table experience. Fresh herbs and vegetables are picked and prepared in the garden with local seafood for a wonderful Caribbean meal right from the vine that bursts with flavor. Bath-with-a-view at Point of View Villa
