The Villa You're Going to Want to Rent While Attending the Cannes Film Fest

The 2015 Cannes Film Festival is nearly upon us. And since May 13 is just about here, hopefully you have your accommodations already set if you plan on attending the event. But if you not, we personally think one of the best ways to experience the A-list affair is to stay in your own private villa. Because, rather than settle for just a suite, consider all the lavish dinner parties you could host at the house!

Sitting on 74 acres of landscape gardens, Valmasque Park Manor offered through Emotional Escapes is an impressive estate located 15 minutes from The Promenade de la Croisette. If needed, you can also fly right up to the villa since there is a helipad located close by the manor. With its natural stone façade, exposed wood beams and hilltop position, it offers an air of rustic refinement and is one of the most stunning houses in the Côte d'Azur.

The 1,076-square-foot residence has five bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. The main bedroom is the only one on the first floor and opens up onto two terraces. It’s also got its own sitting room with a magic mirror. Yes, really. The mirror transforms into a TV screen at the touch of a button! But the beautiful bathroom with Italian shower and deep-soaking tub is where you may want to spend most of your morning (mimosa in hand).

Outside, the extensive patio and manicured lawns lead to the villa’s striking cliffside infinity pool overlooking the whole Cannes region. Are you already imagining yourself sipping on French wines curled up on the outdoor couches with the warmth of ceiling heaters keeping you cozy? If not, you should be.

Along with its outdoor adornments, its interiors are just as luxurious with gold, beige and neutral colors alongside tiled floors and large decorative rugs. And for that party you’re going to throw, there’s a gorgeous almost 1,000-square-foot kitchen available. While a private chef is an additional cost, go ahead and splurge because that kitchen deserves to be put to good use.

On the ground (or second) floor, the lounge can be transformed into a home cinema room or a dance floor with a multi-colored lighting create a nightclub feel. There’s also a pool table, fitness center, Hammam, a hot tub and a tennis court located south of the lake. Or, if you must work while there, the ground floor also has an office with a desk, ample seating, a fireplace and a TV to stream news channels, of course.

We’re not telling you what to do, but if it was up to us, and we were headed to the Cannes Film Festival, you’d most likely find us here. But you know, it’s up to you. Weekly rates start at around USD $44,795 during the fest. The price includes two staff members available eight hours per day and daily housekeeping.
