Washington Culture: The National Museum of American History is another notch in the belt of the Smithsonian Institution, and is committed to the exploration of major themes in American history and culture. The museum's collection consists of over three million artifacts that canvass the timeline of American history.

The museum staff plays host to a variety of public programs, including demonstrations, lectures, and tours. To help foster to interest in history within younger children, they also have storytelling and festivals geared toward creating a sustained interest in our past.
