Berkshire Buys Up Big Stake In IBM, Adds To Wells Fargo

Legendary investor Warren Buffett said today his firm, Berkshire Hathaway has amassed a stake in International Business Machines.

The Oracle of Omaha told CNBC that Berkshire has bought 64 million IBM (nyse: IBM - news - people ) shares since March.

The stake amounts to more than 5% of the company's outstanding stock, and is worth about $10.7 billion.

Buffett also said his holding company has been adding to its stake in Wells Fargo (nyse: WFC - news - people ) (), although he did not detail the amount of stock it has acquired recently.

Berkshire Hathaway (nyse: BRK - news - people )'s quarterly stock purchases will be disclosed in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing after the close of trading today.
