Computer memory subsystems designer Netlist is trading higher today, with greater than usual volume, after it said in a regulatory filing late yesterday it had inked deals with both IBM and Hewlett-Packard .

Netlist (nasdaq: NLST - news - people ) said it agreed to cooperate with IBM (nyse: IBM - news - people ) with respect to the qualification of Netlist's HyperCloud technology for use with IBM servers, and to engage in certain joint marketing efforts if qualification is achieved.

IBM and Netlist have agreed to commit resources and funds in support of these activities, although Netlist did give financial specifics of the deal. Netlist noted the deal is not exclusive.

Netlist and HP made a similar agreement, to cooperate on the qualification of HyperCloud technology for use with HP servers, and engage in joint marketing efforts is qualification is achieved. However, the HP agreement is exclusive for a period of time.
