Top 10 Highest Real Estate Taxes a 2-State List!

Real Estate News: If you live in any of the 10 counties listed, you are a resident of either New York or New Jersey. So, you get bone-chilling en clement weather and pay the highest real estate taxes in the nation, too! Albeit, most homeowners on the plus side of the median residing in any of these counties likely live in modern-day castles brimming with lavish creature comforts, such as heated pools, wine cellars, and myriad warm-beverage dispensers. It is a touchy, thorny topic in the capitols of both states.

According to a recent article by The Real Estate Bloggers, New York's Westchester County has the highest median real estate taxes paid in the U.S. Fifty percent of the county's property owners pay real estate taxes of more than $9,044 annually. Seven out of 10 of the counties are in New Jersey. Nassau and Rockland, which are listed second and fifth, respectively, are the other two counties located in New York.
