Last week Neiman Marcus welcomed its first in-house Breguet salon. To celebrate, the retailer held an intimate cocktail reception at their Atlanta location and invited an exclusive group of VIPs to experience the new boutique. Timepieces that were just released at this year’s Baselworld were on display, as well as the Tradition Independent Chronograph 7077, the “only chronograph in a timepiece designed to operate autonomously from the movement.” The Breguet Chronométrie 7727, winner of the Aiguille d'Or at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève also made an appearance.

To demonstrate the brand’s iconic craftsmanship, a Breguet artisan was flown in from Switzerland where he worked on a Breguet Watchmaker’s Bench. Newly made, the piece was crafted after the desk used by the brand’s founder, Abraham-Louis Breguet, in his Parisian workshop. The desk was designed using wood from a favorite oak tree of Marie Antoinette’s—arguably one of the label’s most famous clients.

If you missed out on the festivities, no worries, the salon is currently open to casual shoppers and avid horology fans alike. Inside you’ll find both popular favorites and just-released pieces. They’ll also have a large assortment of women’s watches—though nothing as extravagant as the late French queen would have worn.
