Keanu Reeves has been acting for over 40 years, starting first in his teens playing Mercutio in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet while living in Toronto, Canada.

With his mother's “do whatever you want to do darling” blessing, Keanu traveled in his first car at the age of 20 to Los Angeles, CA to arrive in Hollywood. He had a dream. A dream that all of the artists celebrated with their hands and footprints in cement at the forecort of the historical TCL Chinese Theatre.

Keanu loves movies, he loves watching them and he loves making them. Right before the premiere of his newest blockbuster Lionsgate film, JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 – PARABELLUM, Keanu Reeves (John Wick) was invited to participate in the oldest honor in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX. He put his hand prints, signature and footprints in wet cement in Hollywood.

Many of his co-stars including Laurence Fishburne, Halle Berry, Asia Kate Dillon, Mark Dacascos, and Lance Reddick were present to support him. Before the cement ceremony, actor Laurence Fishburne stood at a podium to share with Keanu's family, friends and fans about his friend Keanu, one of Hollywood’s most sought after leading men with a worldwide box office total of over $4.2 billion.

With over thirty years of film credits, this passionate and courageous actor was featured in The Matrix trilogy, Speed, Generation Um, and Henry’s Crime. Not only has he starred, but in many he has produced too. In 2012, he produced the documentary Side By Side, exploring the history of film making and the impact of new digital technology. In the film, directed by Chris Kenneally, Keanu interviewed some of Hollywood’s major directors, including James Cameron, David Fincher, David Lynch, George Lucas, and Danny Boyle. One year later, Keanu made his directorial debut and starred in the Tai Chi action film, Man of Tai Chi.

Next month in June, he will lend his voice as a new character in Disney’s Toy Story 4. This will be his first role in an animated film. He is also appearing in the Netflix romantic comedy Always Be My Maybe, starring Ali Wong.

"Twenty years ago The Matrix was released. Keanu has grown deeper, matured and yet has appeared not to age," said Fishburne. “There is only one Keanu Reeves. He has done this with Joy, Grace and Courage. He has helped people to free their minds, touch our hearts and soothed our soul, just like his first name in Hawaiian “cool breeze over the mountains.”
