It's officially Carnival Season and we are so excited over here at Abundant Journeys.  Mardi Gras is tomorrow and the Brazilian Carnival has been in full swing for nearly 2 weeks now.  So what will be your flavor for the season?  Are you ready to get this party started?  After all, it is merry-making season!  And there is an event out there for everyone's personality – Carnivals, Festivals, Adults Only, Family Oriented, Conservative and not so conservative… pick your fancy and enjoy!

The Brazilian Carnival in Rio de Janeiro is the largest Carnival in the world and it is coming to a close now… If you did not make it this year, put it on your calendar for February 2013.

Notting Hill Carnival is the 2nd largest carnival in the world (debated as the largest by some).  So if you missed out on the Brazilian Carnival you can head to London late summer 2012 to enjoy this carnival with the whole family.

Perhaps the third largest Carnival worldwide suits your fancy in Toronto for the Caribana late summer 2012?  This Carnival is actually a series of Carnivals that take place over six weeks every year in Toronto ending with the Caribe the first week of August 2012.

Like many Americans, heading off to Party City USA better known as New Orleans for Mardi Gras is the perfect plan for merry-making season.  If you were in NOLA this past weekend celebrating, please share with us in the comment section below your experiences.
