Lexus held the world premier of their brand new LF-C2 concept car on opening day of the Los Angeles Auto Show on Wednesday. The super shiny Grand Touring design comes in the form of a 2+2 roadster layout and marks a definite futuristic leap forward for the marquee.

"The LF-C2 concept shows what’s in store for our brand’s future design direction,” says Jeff Bracken, Lexus group vice president and general manager. “This concept shows consumers around the world Lexus’ devotion to emotional designs as well as our passion for an exceptional driving experience.”

The  open-air golden yellow luxury car doesn't have any sort of roof, while the sweeping exterior lines play off light and movement. “We’ve been instinctively drawn to and inspired by those things that capture the beauty of light,” says Yasuo Kajino, chief designer LF-C2, Lexus Design Division. “When you put something in the right light, people see it in a way they never have before.” The front façade features Lexus' signature spindle-shaped grill with braided mesh and triangular LED headlamps. 

With the line moving undisturbed across the car, even swooping down between the two rear seats and up through the front, the LF-C2 is smooth and definitely eye catching. We especially like the interior details of the classic analog clock between the middle air vents and the simplicity of the dashboard.

Lexus hasn't released any technical information yet, but it is a concept car after all.
