The Waldorf Astoria is leaning into high fashion glamour with the debut of The Devil’s Martini, a dramatic new cocktail inspired by The Devil Wears Prada 2. Created by award-winning mixologist Jeff Bell, the cocktail is sophisticated and fun, combining Grey Goose vodka, Sakura vermouth, and hibiscus flower extract for a bold crimson hue that stands out across the bar.

Served with a preserved Japanese baby peach garnish that resembles an olive, the martini channels the polished, stylish energy associated with the iconic film and the Waldorf Astoria brand. Floral notes soften the drink while maintaining the crisp structure of a classic martini, resulting in a cocktail that feels elegant but still a little theatrical.
“The martini is one of the most iconic formats in cocktail history, and at Waldorf Astoria, it carries real weight,” said Bell, Waldorf Astoria New York beverage partner. “With The Devil’s Martini, we wanted to create something that honors that legacy while introducing a point of view inspired by ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2,’ a drink that feels timeless but with just enough irreverence to make it memorable.”
The new cocktail launch coincides with a redesigned Peacock Alley and public spaces at the newly restored Waldorf Astoria New York, which appears in the film. The refreshed interiors embrace the hotel’s historic glamour while introducing a more modern luxury aesthetic with rich finishes, dramatic lighting, and a social energy that once again positions the property as a see-and-be-seen destination in Manhattan.

On the West Coast, the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills’ gorgeous al fresco rooftop restaurant The Rooftop Beverly Hills has also gone through a redesign and is now Gemma. With a long, beautiful marble bar, new comfy sofa inspired seating that provides perfect views of the Santa Monica Mountains, Hollywood Hills and Beverly Hills flats below, and a new Pan-Asian inspired menu, Gemma is flooded with natural light, a sage and neutral palette and an upscale relaxed LA vibe.
