Summer Pop-Up
This summer VEA Newport Beach is turning up the flavor at two of the VEA’s signature dining venues. One of Bravo’s favorite Top Chefs, acclaimed Chef Angelo Sosa, has been invited to collaborate at two pop-up locations at the ocean view resort.
Edge Bar is designed as a social destination where guests can spend the afternoon by the pool and sunset cocktails overlooking the Pacific. Now they can order Chef Sosa’s Beso Burger. The exclusive menu includes a smashed Prime Wagyu beef patty layered with his signature Beso sauce. Layered on a toasted brioche bun is melted American cheese, crunchy pickles, and sweet onions. A generous serving of crisp, crinkle-cut fries completes the experience. Pair this with a signature French fry vanilla shake for a combo meal for $36.
For an elevated pairing, order a glass or bottle of Imayo Tsukasa Artesian Junmai from Niigata, Japan. The sake offers fresh, clean, vibrant flavors, balanced acidity, and a subtle touch of umami, with delicate hints of cocoa that complement the richness of the burger.

VIEW Restaurant & Lounge
Chef Angelo’s second pop-up, Taqueria Amada, brings bold South-of-the-Border flavors to the resort. Located off the lobby, the all day restaurant offers his special Tacos and Tostadas menu during lunch and dinner hours.
The fish tacos are a lighter and healthier interpretation of a beloved classic. Rather than the traditional breaded and fried preparation, Chef Sosa grills rockfish fillets and tops them with crisp purple and white cabbage, chipotle mayonnaise, pickled red onion, salsa macha, salsa verde, and micro cilantro.

Tasty Tostadas
Chef Angelo’s Elote tostadas are a standout Two crisp tortillas provides the foundation for sweet corn purée, charred esquites, elote-spiced mayonnaise, feta cheese, salsa macha, and fresh micro cilantro. The salsa macha brings a gentle kick from dried chiles and garlic, creating an irresistible balance of sweet, salty, creamy, and spicy flavors.
Another menu highlight is the yellowfin tuna tostada, layered with creamy guacamole, Persian cucumbers, red onions, jalapeño, salsa macha, and citrus ponzu. The result is bright, fresh, and beautifully balanced.
Pair these dishes with a refreshing Jamaica or piña agua fresca, or turn up the evening with a Mezcalita made with Manojo mezcal, hibiscus, pineapple, citrus, and clove.
Leave room for dessert. Chef Sosa’s vanilla bean flan offers a rich and creamy finale to the meal. Both Chef Sosa pop-ups will be available through September 30, 2026, giving locals and resort guests plenty of time to experience these limited-time culinary offerings.
