If you aren't entirely familiar with JustLuxe yet, we are the leading Affluent Lifestyle Guide on the Web, welcome! With over 40 different categories, it's easy to find a place to publish your articles. Just make sure you always keep in mind that your content must be relevant to both the Luxury World and one of our many categories.

Here are a few further tips to ensure we can publish you as a contributor...

Writing for JustLuxe & LuxeLounge

The Basics:
  • Submit original content, as it tends to receive the most traffic and is therefore the most beneficial to both you and JustLuxe. You can also submit articles that have previously run elsewhere, as long as you still own the rights.
  • Avoid Plagiarism. This should go without saying. However to be 100% clear, this is a black and white issue. Do not ever copy, "borrow," or use any copy that is not your own. Period. Should you choose to quote a publication, person or otherwise be sure to cite your source correctly and put quotation marks around the excerpt.
  • The minimum length for an article posted to JustLuxe is 300 words. There are some exceptions to this rule, but you run the risk of rejection if the write-up is any less.
  • The maximum length for an article posted to JustLuxe is 1700 words. There are also some exceptions to this rule, but you run the risk of the editorial team cutting your story down, so be advised!

Word Count Best Practices:
  • Fashion, Product & Service Stories: 350-550 words
  • Hotel Reviews & Travel Stories: 400-1000 words
  • Restaurant Stories: 400-600 words

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

It is important to note that we do not allow content that is written purely to build SEO for another site; that is a form of spam and will not be tolerated. If you have no idea what we mean by that, it probably does not apply to you. Make sure to always follow Google's guidelines. Link scheming is NOT ALLOWED and appropriate actions will be taken in response to such activity, including removal of offending links, rejection of submitted articles and account termination. For more information on what constitutes link scheming, please see Google's Quality Guidelines.

Integrity Guidelines

In a world overflowing with written content, it is very important that JustLuxe readers know who we are and what we are about. We strive to bring readers unique and informative stories, with full disclosure.

Always...
  • Give credit for photography.See the JustLuxe Photo Submission Policy.
  • Cite your sources.
  • Disclose if you are writing about anything that you have a special interest in seeing published, such as receiving any sort of monetary or material compensation. We require our writers to adhere to the FTC Endorsement Guidelines. You can do this in the body of the article or below it. Learn more here.
  • Adhere to all Federal copyright laws. If you are unclear about US Copyright Law, you can find out more here.

When in doubt, disclose!

Never...
  • Use photos you do not have the rights to.
  • Submit an article promoting a company, product or service you own, represent or have any other direct affiliation with. If you stand to make any kind of monetary or similarly personal gain (besides just padding your portfolio of course) from seeing a story published, take a step back and really think about your integrity as a blogger/writer/journalist.

Authorization of Representation

Often we have uncontracted bloggers, writers, freelancers, contributors and more ask if they might represent JustLuxe in various ways, whether it be at an event or otherwise. If you do not enjoy the privilege of being a contracted writer with JustLuxe, but have solidified a relationship with us, along with a proven track record of reliability, integrity and strong writing, you may request authorization to represent the site under certain circumstances, in agreed upon scenarios. This privilege is reserved for established writers only and requires the written consent of JustLuxe. There are no exceptions.

YOU MAY NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, APPROACH A COMPANY, BRAND OR ENTITY OF ANY KIND AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF JUSTLUXE WITHOUT EXPRESS WRITTEN PERMISSION. THOSE FOUND TO BE IN VIOLATION OF THIS POLICY MAY HAVE THEIR ACCOUNT TERMINATED WITHOUT NOTICE.

Working Together...Or Not.

We take great pride in JustLuxe and we hope you do too! So, in an effort to ensure that the content on JustLuxe always follows the guidelines outlined above, failure to adhere to the policy will result in a warning and/or cancellation of your contributor account. We are sure you understand.
