Farmers Market

Los Angeles was originally an agricultural town, and that spirit lives on today at the Farmers Market. What started as a dirt lot now features a permanent building with an iconic clock tower. Established in 1934 when a dozen local farmers parked trucks on an open field to sell fresh produce to local residents, it’s now home to more than 100 different businesses.

There are various retailers at the market, but visitors come primarily for the food, ranging from produce to seafood. Keep an eye out for Hollywood executives, as CBS Studios are nearby.
