The Tuileries Garden was created by Catherine de Medicis in 1564, and today is a public park that often provides the setting for both celebrations and relaxation. The corresponding palace was home to many kings, and several of them expanded upon the original garden.

These massive gardens have been the inspiration for many great artists, and the birthing place of great social revolutions. There are expansive terraces, a moat, both 20th-century and modern sculptures, and enough scenery to fill an entire day.
