The London Eye is a relatively new attraction in the city, and has quickly become one of the most popular places here. Located on the edge of the River Thames, this 443-foot-tall ferris wheel is visible from much of the city.
The ferris wheel is a great source of pride for Londoners, as it is such an impressive feat of engineering, and was once the tallest in the world. It carries 32 sealed and air-conditioned capsules around its giant circle.
