New England Holocaust Memorial

The New England Holocaust Memorial is a chilling reminder of one of the most atrocious acts in human history. It was dedicated in October of 1995 as a way to encourage reflection and to foster unity for all affected by this period in time. A granite path passes six translucent, fifty-four-foot-tall towers that are lit from within.

Each tower is inscribed with numbers meant to signify the infamous tattoos given to Nazi prisoners. At the base of each tower is a steel grate covering a chamber, each named for a Nazi Death Camp, full of smoldering coals.
