Timed to the buzz around The Devil Wears Prada 2, The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills is staging a playful, fashion-infused afternoon tea that leans into editorial fantasy. Nearly two decades after the original The Devil Wears Prada defined a generation of style-obsessed cinema starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, the hotel translates that glossy world into an immersive weekend ritual.

Launched April 4, the property’s signature restaurant Boxwood is hosting “The Devil Sips Tea,” a weekend affair that reframes classic tea service through a high-fashion lens.

Executive Chef Anthony Keene curates a balanced procession of savory and sweet courses including traditional scones with clotted cream and lemon curd, followed by a lineup of composed bites and pastries designed as much for visual impact as flavor. Tea is central with blends sourced from Rare Tea Company, including a rose-and-cocoa “Beauty Closet” black tea, a color-shifting butterfly pea “Cerulean” infusion (a squeeze of citrus transforms its hue), and a calming chamomile dubbed “Glacial Herbal.”

Cocktails bring a wink of drama with a vivid blue “Cerulean Martini”, while those wanting to elevate the moment can add flutes of Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial.

On the savory side, the kitchen sends out a quartet of refined finger sandwiches including smoked salmon on a delicate crisp, a compact Wagyu steak slider with a single crisp fry, a truffled egg brioche, and a precisely cut cucumber sandwich. Pastries follow including lemon tarts crowned with florals, a red-soled petit four, hand-painted macarons with dark ganache, and a panna cotta layered with Champagne gelée.

The experience extends beyond the table. Select fashion pieces are available to browse (and buy) in the tearoom, while the nearby Bailey Wick boutique offers Los Angeles inspired apparel and accessories, reinforcing the event’s retail-meets-hospitality concept.

“The Devil Sips Tea” is offered Saturdays and Sundays from 12:30–3:30 p.m. Pricing is $84 per adult and $42 for children under 12, with reservations available via OpenTable. Valet parking is complimentary for up to two hours with validation.
