Fashion and Beauty Brands Giving Back During the Pandemic

During this difficult and unprecedented time, we are all learning how to respond to the challenges that COVID-19 has thrown our way. While sadly many businesses have been forced to close their doors, it has been uplifting to see that other brands are able to thrive and give back to the community in multiple ways. Whether it is making masks or donating proceeds from online sales, our favorite brands - both big and small - are finding creative ways to help!  Read on for how to give back by way of a little online retail therapy.

Billie - This Allure Best of Beauty-winning razor seen all over your Instagram is donating $100,000 of their funds to local food banks nationwide for those who have lost access to regular meals due to COVID-19.  

Soft Skincare - NYC-based men's skincare brand launched Masks 4 Masks where they will donate 100% of proceeds from their moisture masks to secure surgical and N95 masks for healthcare workers on the frontlines. You can also donate to their GoFundMe to raise money for PPE. 

InYaHands - The brand new skincare-based hand sanitizer with 70% ethyl alcohol and aloë vera, InYaHands, is donating their first batch of products to healthcare workers, community facilities, restaurants and other essential businesses and workers. Get your hands on this sanitizer by purchasing your own 2oz or 8oz bottle through their website and remember to make sanitizing/washing your hands an ongoing habit - during the pandemic and beyond. 

Sol de Janiero - Cult-favorite beauty brand known for their signature Bum-Bum Cream, launched its own sprayable hand sanitizer, Brazilian Touch Hand Sanitizer. Not only does this new sanitizer smell amazing with the brand’s signature tropical scent, 100% of profits from the sanitizer on will directly benefit Bayada Home Healthcare and their staff. They will also be donating these hand sanitizer to Bayada. 

Dial - Everyone is in the market for soap right now and Dial has partnered with FEMA (the Federal Emergency Management Agency) to make sure all of has it by donating over 600,000 units of liquid hand soap, bar soap and body wash products to their disaster relief efforts. Dial has also kicked off #IWashMyHands social media campaign to remind us of the importance of healthy hand-washing habits. 

Reformation - Sustainable fashion brand, Reformation, is manufacturing face-masks to help the homeless community and at-risk individuals in the LBGTQ+ community through the month of July. For every mask purchased on their site, they will donate a mask to Until We Do It, The White Mountain Apache Tribe, Los Angeles Mission Shelters and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. 

Under Armour - The athletic brand pledged to donate $1 Million to Feeding America and another $1 Million to Good Sports, as well as producing over 500,000 masks, gowns, face shields and PPE to hospital and healthcare workers.

Bombas - The comfort focused sock brand has been donating an item for every item purchased since inception and will continue to do this throughout the pandemic as well as donate socks to healthcare workers. Bombas is also helping to secure items for the New York City homeless population. 

Anna in Bhutan- a line of eco-friendly and sustainables scarves and now face masks is donating $1 of each mask sale to FoodBankNYC.  The Anna in Bhutan team felt that it was their social responsibility to take care of our own health and of others so quickly rushed to produce these special masks.

Otherland - The chic insta-famous candle brand is donating 10% of proceeds to Food Bank for New York City with code “SUNSHINE” at checkout. 

Dagne Dover - fashionable bag brand is donating 10% of proceeds to the following charitable organizations of choice: CDC Foundation, Feeding America and Save the Children and they will be giving 10% of all purchases with code: TOGETHER.
