Each program received a weighted composite score out of 100 across five benchmarks:

A Note on the 2026 Landscape

In late July 2026, NetJets stopped selling new jet cards and short-term leases to concentrate on fractional ownership, though existing customers can still renew.1,3 The company points to record retention and demand roughly 35% above pre-pandemic levels, and it made a similar move in 2021 before reopening sales about a year later.1,2 The rankings below weigh each program’s standing in terms, with availability to new buyers factored into the scoring.

1. Elevate Jet, the best overall jet card program of 2026

Elevate Jet earns the top spot by pairing more than 30 years of operational expertise with a modern, technology-driven customer experience.6 Its flagship Azurite Jet Card, introduced in December 2025, is built for travelers who fly regularly and want predictable costs without the complexity of aircraft ownership: a 25-hour minimum commitment buys fixed hourly rates locked for 12 months, with no blackout dates and guaranteed aircraft availability across a network of more than 5,000 aircraft.6,9 Card Owners can move between cabin categories at published interchange rates, and benefits include waived pet fees, guaranteed in-flight WiFi, a round-trip discount, rollover provisions that carry unused hours forward, and a trip recovery guarantee that ensures Card Owners reach their destination without disruption.6 Flyers who prefer no hour commitment can opt instead for a deposit-based membership, applied dollar-for-dollar toward flights with no expiration.8

2. Magellan Jets

Magellan Jets takes second on flexibility. Its 2026 card revamp lets buyers purchase any custom number of hours above a 25-hour floor, in either interchangeable Category form or Premium cards tied to one aircraft type.10,11 Published light jet pricing starts at $7,500 per hour and drops to $7,000 at 100 hours, plus FET, with rates fixed for up to 24 months.10 Funds do not expire, are never co-mingled, and core cards carry no blackout or peak days at all, with callouts as short as 24 hours.10,12

The structural distinction: Magellan is a broker, not an operator. It is Wyvern Wingman certified and sources aircraft from roughly 100 vetted Part 135 operators carrying $100 million or more in liability coverage.12 For buyers who value terms above all, that model delivers the most aggressive published numbers in the category. Buyers who want the program provider to hold the operating certificate itself will weigh that difference.

3. Wheels Up

Wheels Up’s Signature Membership, launched in September 2025, is the pick for flyers who want private aviation stitched into commercial travel. Delta Air Lines is the company’s largest shareholder, and members receive SkyMiles Diamond Medallion status and can apply deposit funds toward Delta tickets.14,15 Deposits start at $200,000 plus a $500 monthly fee, with a choice between market-based dynamic pricing and fixed rates carrying an annual CPI escalator; Phenom 300 fixed rates run $8,695 to $9,295 per hour before fuel surcharge and FET.13 Availability is guaranteed nationwide, with 20 peak days at a 15% surcharge, flown on a fleet consolidated in 2026 to just two jet types, Phenom 300s and Challenger 300 series aircraft, after the company retired its legacy light and midsize jets. 13, 15, 16

It ranks third on fund terms and financial profile: deposits are non-refundable with required annual renewals, and the publicly traded company reported a $107.2 million net loss in Q2 2026, though reliability metrics improved and Delta extended its credit backing.13,15

4. NetJets

NetJets remains the category’s reference point, with an owned fleet of 868 aircraft, Berkshire Hathaway ownership, and roughly 97% of card flying on its own aircraft.5 Card pricing at the January 2025 relaunch started around $8,600 per hour for the Phenom 300, including FET, catering, Wi-Fi, and de-icing.3,4 Terms are middle of the pack: 48-hour callouts, 45 to 90 restricted days depending on tier, a 24-month expiration on hours, and a fuel surcharge introduced on new cards in 2026.3,4

It ranks fourth for one reason: new customers cannot currently buy in. With sales paused since late July 2026, the program is effectively renewal-only, and shoppers without an existing card will need to look to the three programs above.1,3
