When my partner and I were looking for the perfect romantic getaway, we wanted a holiday ensconced in luxury, where we could be pampered by the expert staff of a five-star boutique hotel. We eventually set our eyes on a stay in the eastern Anatolia region of Turkey. Tucked into the slopes of Uchisar Castle, amid a seemingly alien landscape, I spotted the Cappadocia Cave Resort and Spa. It turned out to be an unparalleled experience of pampering and luxury with endless natural beauty and a culinary selection to die for. I urge anyone looking for the ultimate experience in enchanting luxury to book a holiday they'll never forget at the Cappadocia Cave Resort and Spa.

Natural Beauty

As a lover of the great outdoors, I wanted to visit somewhere with breathtaking natural beauty and for pure spectacular vistas, I couldn’t have hoped to do better than a stay at Cappadocia. The entire region has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site, and is well known for its unique cave structures that date back to antiquity. Needless to say, taking our holiday to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World had its advantages.

History

With numerous activities just a short drive away, we didn't find ourselves limited to our hotel. We soon found ourselves immersed in culture, exploring the biggest open-air museum in the world in nearby Goreme, Turkey, and experiencing the historical sights and sounds of local underground cities. Given my penchant for nature, I had to take a trip to some incredible natural formations, such as the Fairy Chimney formations. I would strongly recommend bringing your camera; these are sights you'll want to remember.

Luxury

When we were in the hotel itself, nothing had been left to chance when it came to our comfort and enjoyment. I often found myself marvelling at the rustic décor highlighting the amazing rock formations comprising the walls of my suite, while every modern convenience was available to meet my every need. Towards that end, the hotel offers hairdressing services, a doctor on staff 24 hours a day, laundry, cable and internet services, conference rooms and meeting halls.

Additionally, staying at the hotel allowed my partner and me to experience the ultimate in soothing full service spa treatments. Indulgent therapies, fragrant aromas, calming touches awaited our arrival and eliminated all of our stress. You will be hard put to decide where you want to relax first. Whether we were lounging in the free-form, infinity pool, working out in the fully equipped fitness centre, or just enjoying the therapeutic advantages of grabbing a hot steam bath, the relaxing ambience, and striking local scenery, truly combined to make for an unforgettable holiday experience.

Elegant Dining

Dining has always been a key factor, for me, when choosing a hotel or resort. Luckily, Cappadocia offered us an award winning culinary experience with Turkish, European, and Japanese fare. Additionally, the hotel offers an extensive wine cellar that is stocked with their own specialty wines and offers selections that tantalised my palate and aroused my senses.

Romance, relaxation, and rejuvenation are just a reservation away. Leave the rat race to the rats; allow yourself to experience the ultimate in romantic getaways. Bathe in spectacular scenery while being pampered in every way possible as you soak in all that Turkey has to offer.

Turkey is a land of beauty and mystery that stretches back through history and the Cappadocia Cave Resort and Spa allowed my partner and I to sample some of that magic, while pampered and treated to luxury.
