Opting to spend your college years in Australia is a great choice, especially if you are staying in Sydney. This is a magical town filled with a variety of exotic and interesting locations that one should definitely visit. You will meet a lot of new people, visit numerous shopping places, and take a lot of breath-taking pictures.

Even though you are a student, do not fully focus on your studies, because there is a good chance you’ll miss out on a great experience. Of course, studies are important but if you are unable to balance out everything, then you lack organization, and you are probably investing your time into doing the wrong things. There are a few you should definitely do, if you are spending your time in Sydney as a student.

Sydney Tower Eye

Around 250m high, this tower is a great vantage point, and no other spot in the city can rival the view provided by this building. The Syndey tower is located in the very heart of the city, or at 100 Market St. to be precise. Once there, you’ll be able to enjoy a spectacular view that covers everything from Sydney Harbour to the very skyline of the city, all the way to the Blue Mountains. You can even purchase a Skywalk experience, and step out of the enclosed space - you will be in for quite an adrenaline rush.

Whale watching

You should definitely go whale watching considering how truly majestic they are. Sydney is filled with lovely coastal locations, where you can observe a myriad of aquatic life forms. The annual migratory season for whales lasts from May to November, but they can be occasionally observed from higher cliffs. If you are interested in the best view possible, you can book a whale watching cruise, and follow them as they journey from Antarctica all the way to the Great Barrier Reef.

You can even opt to go in a Sydney Hot Air Balloon, which is truly a stunning adventure.

Wildlife Attractions

If there is one thing Australia is renowned for, it is its exotic wildlife - even the locals are still impressed with all the species that can be witnessed. Sydney is filled with big zoos and aquariums that warrant your visit, plus the whole experience is very educational. You should know the appropriate counter measures if something bites you, considering that Australia has a lot of poisonous animals, simply roaming outside. In a way, it is beauty that comes with a price.

Cultural Attractions

It is important to remember to develop on a cultural level. Australia has rich history and great stories related to the Aborigines, its original natives. It is a one of kind opportunity to educate yourself, and see all the artefacts with Aborigine origin.

Other cultural attractions are Madame Tussauds’ Wax Museum, where sculptures of all famous people are exhibited.
