It’s no secret that we’re pretty enamored with Victoria Beckham, and it seems like the rest of the world is too. The pop star turned fashion designer has been named the UK’s Most Successful Entrepreneur, based on strong sales numbers, jobs created and her overall net worth—£210 million (approx. $338.7 million) for those who are keeping score. Posh Spice has brought in over £30 million (approx. $48.4 million) this year for her brand, up from £1 million (approx. $1.6 million) when her company began five years ago. She has also helped with job growth in the UK, raising her number of employees from three to over 100 within the same time frame. "It is her finely tuned business acumen that wins her the top spot," said Philip Beresford, who compiled the list for business magazine Management Today. "The entrepreneur formerly known as Posh Spice is queen of the catwalk now.”

Admittedly, Beckham has accomplished quite a lot in a short period of time. Her pieces have appeared on red-carpet regulars such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet, and just last month she opened her first retail space in London’s posh (see what I did there!) Mayfair location. "She’s got a real business, some design talent and some business nous," Andrew Saunders of Management Today told The Daily Telegraph. "She gets a lot of stick for being a celeb fashionista but I don’t think that’s fair. She has built something real out of her own celebrity which is quite a contemporary story. She deserves to be celebrated."

The list names the top 100 entrepreneur in 2014, and while only 14 are women (up from last year’s 11—yikes), it looks like ladies are topping the list. Only two other fashion retailers made it into the top ten, Mahmud Kamani, of Boohoo.com and Julian Dukerton of Supergroup, earning the third and fourth spot respectively. Rounding out the top ten were Amit and Meeta Patel, of pharmaceutical firm Auden Mckenzie, in second place; Roy MacGregor, of Global Energy, came in fifth; Denise Coates, of online bookmaker Bet365, in sixth place; John Roberts, founder of kitchen appliance specialist AO World, seventh; Peter Kelly, of IT firm Softcat, eighth; Philip Doyle, from Kelway IT services, ninth; and Jonathan Ruffer, of Ruffer Investment Manager, 10th.
