When the clock struck midnight, all around the world people made wishes for the upcoming New Year. Resolutions to shed a few pounds, promises to change their spending habits, swearing off Netflix or refusing to let another year go by without finding that special someone. It’s a time to shake off the mistakes or regrets of the year before and start fresh, with a plan on how to make the new year great. We asked the JustLuxe editors what their resolutions for 2015 would be and got some surprisingly serious answers—none of which included losing that last 10 pounds. (Which is surprising considering the insane amount of sweets we consume in this office.) Whatever your resolutions are we wish you and your family a Happy New Year.

2015 Resolution: Come out with my 1st EP or get pretty dang close! http://t.co/RJw0GagMnQ #music #MusicIsLife #ResolutionsFor2015
— Nicolle Monico (@Monicles) December 31, 2014
In 2014, I worked on songwriting and dedicated many hours to singing, recording and finding my artistic voice. For 2015, my goal is to either release an EP or get pretty dang close to doing so. Music and singing have always been a passion of mine, but I never considered it to be more than a hobby. But life is short; and there's no reason not to see what else is out there for my music. Like they say, "In the end, you only regret the things you didn't do." So with that, here’s to a new year and new possibilities.

#NewYearsResolution: Volunteer w/a #SouthAfrica #animalsanctuary & self-publish to beat #ELJames in the game of erotica. What's yours?
— Mila Pantovich (@MilaPantovich) December 31, 2014
Though I could lie to myself and pledge to give up chocolate or 2 a.m. toast—don't judge me—we all know it would last about a week. Instead, my New Year's Resolutions are to finally self-publish erotica online (move aside E.L. James!) and go to Africa to volunteer with an animal sanctuary. Maybe I will combine them and write while volunteering. Who wouldn't want to read a story about a passionate young lady who meets a wild Irishman among rescued baby elephants and cheetahs in South Africa? You know you would. When the film rights are bought by Harvey Weinstein, and the likes of Cillian Murphy, Colin Farrell and Michael Fassbender are fighting over the hunky role, you will thank me. Who will play the leading lady? Me. Obviously. Happy New Year!

#NewYearsResolution For 2015 I'm revamping my wardrobe. No one needs three closets worth of fast fashion. #breakingupwithH&M
— Marissa Stempien (@MarissaStempien) December 31, 2014
For the New Year I’ve decided my goals will consist of revamping my wardrobe. It might seem pretty superficial, sure, but I’ve got three closets, one of which is a walk-in, and really only wear about 10 percent of my clothes, five percent of which I actually like. I’m a bit of a hoarder and totally convinced that my cap-sleeve, checkered-print, knee-length dress will come back into style someday, right—right? I need fewer statement pieces, more staples and have to invest in quality pieces instead of buying the entire H&M Beyoncé collection. That or I could be an adult and work on raising my credit score—nah.

I have a lengthy list of goals for 2015. Now I just have to make sure life doesn't get in the way of them. #5 Do a 2 minute plank daily.
— Courtney Driver (@CourtneyDriver) December 31, 2014
For me, 2015 is going to be about goals. Life likes to distract you and it is so easy to let it. Time simply flies by while we focus on everyday tasks that can get done immediately. So this year I want to focus on stopping life from getting in the way of the things I want do. While I apply this to work (just wait until you see what we have in store for JustLuxe this year!), I am more so applying this to my personal life. I have a whole list of things I intend to accomplish in 2015 and the items on it range from the cliché—I really am going to watch less TV this year I swear—to others like improving my coding skills, brushing up on my Spanish, and actually doing a plank daily (I mean really it's two minutes, who doesn't have two minutes?).

My #NewYearsResolution - Learn to unplug while at home! #NYE2015
— Christy Stewart (@sdgirl619) January 1, 2015
Each year I seem to have a reoccurring laundry list of resolutions—get healthy, pay off student loans, travel to a new destination—you know, the usual stuff. While I still hope to achieve some of those goals, for me, 2015 will be all about family. Come June, we‘ll be welcoming the newest addition, and I plan on focusing my efforts—as exhausted as I might be—on enjoying each moment with my growing family. Sure, my job requires that I remain constantly connected to the digital world, and to be honest, I wouldn’t have it any other way. However, my goal is to find more of a balance in life, which includes learning to unplug at home so that I can fully engage with my children and start to really experience the undistracted joys of childhood.
