Recently the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America Los Angeles Host Committee met at Thatcher’s Wine in Brentwood to discuss the returning Taste America celebration. On October 6 at The LINE Hotel in Koreatown, only 400 ticket holders will gain access to a spectacular culinary walk-around evening.

This annual event brings together some of the city’s most celebrated chef, special guests and diners from across the country. Together they raised a fork and a glass to local independent restaurants during an unforgettable tasting opportunity. Presented by American Express and Resy, this year’s Taste America event will be hosted by Anna Sonenshein and Niki Vahle of Little Fish. They were recently named to the James Beard Foundation’s prestigious 2026–2027 TasteTwenty. This annual list recognizes 20 emerging chefs across the country whose talent, creativity, and leadership are helping shape the future of American dining.

Since 1986, The James Beard Foundation has evolved as a celebration of gastronomy by a body of leading chefs and the broader culinary industry seeking a new standard of excellence. The foundation believes in a vibrant, equitable, and sustainable independent restaurant industry stands as a cornerstone of American culture, economy, and community. It also drives towards a better food system across the country.

Proceeds from the ticketed event directly support the James Beard Foundation’s mission to champion independent restaurants nationwide. Premier Tickets are $225 for early entrance at 6 p.m. General tickets are $175 for entrance at 7 p.m.
