It's a good thing the Arabesque Coffee and Tea Pot Set from Merdinger House of Design wasn't around when I was a kid, because I would have harassed my parents until they bought it for me. It's just so darn pretty! The Arabesque (which is a type of ancient design often seen in Islamic art) set is a work of art in of itself, and you may have a hard time bringing yourself to actually use it. Crafted from fine bone china porcelain that contains almost 50 percent bone ash, the two pots ($889) are decorated with a golden embossed pattern inspired by nature, while the handles and caps are hand-painted with gold. Unfortunately, the entire set seen in the photo is sold as separate pieces. The Tea Cup and Saucer cost $299 for the pair, the Small Gold Spoon is $34, and the Sugar and Creamer Vessel Set is $649. So if you want everything in the photo—and why wouldn't you?—it will cost around $1,118.
