Experience holiday music, illuminated attractions, and cultural offerings this winter season in Nashville. This premier destination appeals to visitors of all ages from across the world.

Music City earned its name at the historic Ryman Auditorium, as Nashville’s most treasured tradition. A 12-concert series returns on Dec. 13 and runs through December, with musical greats Amy Grant and Vince Gill. They preform their beloved “Christmas at the Ryman" residency. 

Another music and merriment event is planned at the iconic Grand Ole Opry House. Starting on Nov. 26, Opry Country Christmas will present 9 entertaining shows on select dates through Dec. 18. This holiday series turns the Opry House into a winter wonderland, while music fans listen to their favorite Christmas songs by top and talented country artists.

Nashville Ballet presents Nashville’s Nutcracker, a unique rendition of the timeless classic, featureing original choreography and live music by the Nashville Symphony.

Be sure to visit ICE! The Polar Express returns as a dazzling, immersive, story-driven holiday showplace complete with larger-than-life ice sculptures, awe-inspiring frozen slides, and thrilling tunnels. There are over two-million pounds of colorful ice carvings by expert artisans. This special holiday event runs from Nov. 10 through Jan. 1, 2024.


Starting on Nov. 17, the Nashville Zoo is hosting Zoolumination, the largest Chinese lantern festival in the country. Stroll through the zoo to see colorful scenes of more than 1,000 custom-made silk lanterns. This special event continues to Feb. 4, 2024.  


Lights at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens

Holiday LIGHTS at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens returns on Nov. 18 through Jan. 7, 2024, Cheekwood Estate & Gardens is a classic Nashville holiday tradition. Visitors appreciate the creative displays that set the venue aglow with over one-million lights.

Guests can also experience s’mores stations, hot cocoa and seasonal libations while out exploring the festive one-mile walk around the luminous landscape. There are many kiosks to stop at throughout the grounds.
