Indulgence aboard Holland America Line’s MS Koningsdam isn’t defined by a single experience, it’s layered, unfolding across various dining venues, luxe wellness opportunities, world-class entertainment, and quiet, elevated spaces. This cruise ship is designed to make the journey smooth and as memorable as the different destinations. There are larger layouts, seating areas, high-end bedding, soaking tubs in some suites, and thoughtful in-room details.
This Pinnacle Class flagship, graced by Godmother Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, blends modern elegance with timeless Dutch heritage for an unforgettable cruising experience.

Spa & Wellness
The first day on the ship be sure to take an informative ‘Look & Book’ tour of the Greenhouse Spa & Salon. This 9th deck venue is a cornerstone of onboard indulgence.
The Thermal and Hydropool Suite provides a resort-style wellness circuit offering a heated hydrotherapy pool with powerful jets to soothe sore and tense muscles. There are heated ceramic loungers, three hot saunas (two with ocean views) and a steamt Eucalyptus room with a large porthole window to watch the ever-changing sea.

Signature treatments include deep tissue and anti-aging facials. The spa staff infuse a blend of global techniques to encourage spa guests to unwind, detox and feel renewed.
Throughout the cruise the spa offers complimentary ‘Ladies Pampering Parties’ and consultations. Seminars focus on non-surgical facelifts, walking with comfort while improving your posture. Learn how to improve your metabolism, and how to gain pain relief from arthritis through acupuncture.
Complimentary fitness classes are offered at the fitness center near the spa throughout the day. Start your mornings with an Abs class and a Stretch & Release class. Yoga and Spin classes are offered at an additional charge.
Paired with sea views and a slower onboard rhythm, the spa is a true escape within the escape. It’s an ideal wellness journey during days at sea or after a day exploring at port.

Suite Indulgence
There are different categories of suites onboard the MS Koningsdam. The ultimate suite at sea is the apartment-style Pinnacle Suite. It’s a residence on the ocean with a separate living area, dining room, dressing room, and floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening to a large private verandah (some with an outdoor whirlpool). There is also a spa-like bathroom with deep soaking tub, separate shower, and dual vanities. The size at 1,290 sq. ft., this is the largest suite on the ship.
One of the most popular luxury suite category is the Neptune Suite. It’s a striking a balance between space and value. Measuring in size from 465–502 sq. ft., with verandah, this suite category also offers an expansive sitting area with floor-to-ceiling ocean views. Guests appreciate the Mariner’s Dream™ king bed, premium linens, elegant décor and art, plus a bathroom with a soaking tub, separate shower, and dual sinks.
Exclusive perks include access to the private Neptune Lounge to receive personal concierge service. Neptune passengers receive priority boarding and dining, plus complimentary laundry with pressing, and dry cleaning. Not only is this a larger cabin, but it’s a shift from simply having a nicer room to enjoying elevated, hotel-style service throughout the voyage.
Below the Neptune category is the Signature and Vista suites. These provide elevated comfort with more space without the full suite privileges and price. A Signature Suite is around 393 to 400 sq. ft., with a whirlpool bath and sitting area. The Vista Suite is around 260 to 356 sq. ft., and is bright and airy with a private verandah. These feel suites feel like enhanced staterooms, as they are larger and more refined, but without concierge-level benefits.

World Class Entertainment
Evenings onboard are immersive, spotlighting award-worthy entertainment at the World Stage. The visually stunning Fosse and Verdon: The Duet That Changed Broadway is a stylish tribute to legendary Broadway collaborators Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon. This 45-minute production uses wraparound 270-degree LED screens and dynamic jazz-inspired choreography with a blend of live vocals. It’s the first time audiences see archival footage, photographs, and audio about the talented, award winning Fosse and Verdon dynamic duo.
Other venues include B.B. King’s Blues Club for soulful live music straight from Memphis, candlelight concerts, Billboard Onboard and the Rolling Stone Lounge for live rock and country music nightlife experience.

A dedicated sommelier enlightens diners about this ship’s award-winning wine cellar, creating one of the finest dining experiences at sea.
Tamarind
High atop the aft section of the ship, Tamarind provides scenic panoramic ocean views with refined Asian-inspired cuisine. The atmosphere is serene and contemporary, reflecting the flavors of Southeast Asia, China, and Japan. There is also an intimate sushi-bar where chefs make handcrafted rolls with sake pairings. Sunsets are spectacular while dining at Tamarind.
Italian-inspired Canaletto
For a more relaxed interpretation of luxury dining, Canaletto focuses on the Italian tradition of sharing dishes around the table. This trattoria-style restaurant’s menu features handmade pastas, risottos, seafood, and rustic Italian comfort food. These dishes are served in an intimate space with soft lighting and impeccable service.

Suite Perk is Club Orange
Suite guests and those seeking a more exclusive experience, are invited to dine at the Club Orange venue. It’s a quieter, more personalized dining environment with priority seating, elevated service, and exclusive menu offerings. The atmosphere feels more like a boutique-hotel dining experience within the larger ship.
Ultimately, luxury aboard MS Koningsdam is about atmosphere, pacing, and the pleasure of lingering. All of these aspects of the ship transform and define how Holland America Line is more of an immersive voyage for those seeking the finer things in life.
