Luxury Cars: More than five years of R&D went into bringing the GT Malan by Alan Autosports to fruition. This extremely sporty high-performing car is the world’s most affordable custom-built supercar at just under $100,000. A cursory review of the prices of vehicles with similar performance numbers summarily qualifies that claim. The GT Malan, with an LS-2 600-horsepower engine, goes from zero to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 218 mph.

While many of the parts and components on the car are the same as those used in other vehicles of supercar status, the GT Malan does not need to be sent off to an academy or an institution for its maintenance and repairs. Any garage should be able to maintain and repair the GT Malan, according to its designer and founder of Alan Autosports, Dr. David Alan.

The GT Malan and the Southwestern Pennsylvania-based Alan Autosports stem from Dr. Alan’s lifelong passion for exotic automobiles and incorporating that love for fine automobiles into everyday life. Dr. Alan, an optometrist, has been an experienced collector, buyer, and seller of premium-performing automobiles for more than 18 years.

There is plenty of leeway for buyers to customize their GT Milan with both performance and luxury add-ons. The buying experience is highly personal. A three-member team of Dr. Alan, his wife, and the company’s top exec custom build each car from its headquarters in Masontown, Pa.

In a recent article published by the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Dr. Alan stated that he would like to expand production of the GT Malan. However, the vehicle would remain rare as 20 units is the maximum yearly output the eye doctor envisions for Alan Autosports.
