Along with Quintessence Yachts, Aston Martin recently revealed more information on their very first luxury powerboat, which was first unveiled in the company’s headquarters in April. Featuring a sliding deck and a plethora of neat onboard tech, AM37 definitely seems cool enough to carry the marque’s infamous wings.
Planned for a September completion date, the boat’s deck slides over the cockpit to provide complete coverage for when you’re not using it—which not only protects it from the weather, but also from nosy passerby’s. Comprised of three carbon panels, the deck is controlled by the AM37’s key and when opened, it folds underneath the aft deck. “Once the cockpit is open, the aft deck slides back to facilitate access to the dock and allow those onboard to easily dive into the water and open the swimming ladder,” explains the official press release. If you need to get to the engine or the storage areas, the deck can also be raised up.
Onboard the AM37 powerboat is an espresso machine, refrigerator and air conditioning, all of which can be started remotely before you even leave the house so the boat is ready for you when you arrive. “The AM37 also features integrated navigation, control monitor and entertainment systems, with advanced multimedia functions and interactive voice control.” All of which can be controlled through the dashboard’s 15-inch HD touchscreen.
As impressive as this all sounds, apparently there’s more. According to Aston Martin, additional features will be announced prior to the AM37’s official presentation in September.
