Sports and travel are becoming an increasingly powerful pairing, with travelers seeking immersive experiences closer to the action. According to Expedia’s 2026 Unpack ’26: The Trends in Travel report, 57% of travelers say they are likely to attend a local sporting event while traveling, a figure that rises to 68% among Gen Z and Millennial travelers.
Following a year filled with major sporting moments, including FIFA World Cup action, the NBA Finals and the U.S. Open, sports-centered travel is finding a particularly exciting home in Los Angeles.
Located in the heart of Inglewood’s transforming LA Stadium District, The Anthem Hotel, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is within walking distance from SoFi Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams. Just park your car at the hotel and walk to the game. No more sitting in your car and dealing with traffic and crowded parking lots during game day.
On September 17, the hotel debuted its new Football Legacy Suite. It’s creatively designed for fans who want to sleep, play and celebrate the game from the moment they check in.
Los Angeles Raiders legend and Super Bowl champion Lester Hayes was on hand for the unveiling and ribbon cutting. This launch is part of the hotel’s broader football programming leading into Super Bowl LXI, which returns to Los Angeles in February 2027.

Inside the Football Legacy Suite is a collection of carefully considered details. Archival photography captures iconic game-day moments, while team flags and pennants add a spirited touch. Coffee table books invite guests to linger over football history, and a field-inspired rug brings the look and feel of the gridiron into the room.
The suite also comes equipped with a Sony PlayStation 5 loaded with Madden NFL 26. Guests can settle in, pick their favorite team and compete for a championship of their own in the comfort of their suite.
The experience extends beyond the room for guests booking The Anthem’s GameDay Getaway package. Overnight guests receive complimentary access to the hotel’s Poolside Pep Rallies and game-day Tailgates, along with grab-and-go credit to stock the room with snacks and refreshments for the game or a relaxed night in.
“Los Angeles is one of the world’s great sports and entertainment cities, and The Anthem is uniquely positioned at the center of that energy,” said Ruben Flores, General Manager of The Anthem Hotel. “Celebrating fandom is in our DNA and one of the greatest contributions we can make to the guest experience.”
Previous activations have included the HomeCourt Suite, launched during NBA All-Star Weekend, and the Soccer Legends Suite, which celebrated soccer culture and the city’s summer of international soccer.

The hotel’s Pep Rally is held the day before the game for a fan meet-up experience. Its focus is to bring traveling fans together. Then on game day, the hotel will host a Tailgate four hours before kickoff. The party features full bar service and food stations, wall-to-wall game coverage, lawn games including cornhole and beer pong, and a DJ spinning team and fan favorites. Fans will be notified when kickoff approaches and are encouraged to walk together from The Anthem to SoFi Stadium, carrying the energy of the tailgate with them.
“Building on the sports-inspired stays we’ve introduced throughout the year, the Football Legacy Suite is the next chapter in that commitment. We’re creating the ultimate playbook for local and visiting football fans to come together and celebrate the teams and sport they love,” said Flores.

Now as the city is preparing to host Super Bowl LXI 2027 on Valentine’s Day, the 179-room lifestyle hotel is just steps from the city’s premier sports and entertainment venues. It blends modern design, comfort-driven amenities, vibrant social spaces, a rooftop lounge, and expansive pool and deck.
