Just in time to celebrate the new year, Paradisus Los Cabos will reopen its doors following a $35 million renovation. Previously Melia Cabo, the hotel is set to debut in December as a luxury, all-inclusive resort with 350 guestrooms, four swimming pools, the YHI Spa and nine food and beverage options.

Located 25-minutes from the airport, the hotel sits on a swimmable portion of shoreline (not all Cabo beaches allow swimming) and is surrounded by a private golf course. Among the accommodations, 98 will be designated Royal Service Suites which are the brand’s adult-only rooms, 30 will be Family Concierge Suites, and 28 Ocean View suites will feature swim-up pools.

The hotel’s six restaurants will feature everything from Japanese fusion to contemporary Mexican and Brazilian cuisine. Opening his fine dining restaurant Passion by Martin Berasategui, the seven Michelin star-rated chef’s eatery will serve contemporary Basque cuisine. The formal venue will be open to adults only from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night.

Yhi Spa will boast a ludic pool, relaxation areas and a fitness center with wellness activities and personal trainers on offer. Other on-property activities include dance classes, daily lobby bar & “chill-out” theme nights, live music performances and workshops such as candle-, cocktail- and sushi-making classes. Children can enjoy the Kids Zone with a games room, dedicated lounge, computer area and evening programming. All-inclusive rates begin at $240 per person, per night.
