The Maybourne Beverly Hills hotel has reintroduced its theatrical afternoon tea experience, Prêt-à-Portea: The Red-Carpet Collection 2026, transforming some of last year’s most talked-about celebrity fashion moments into meticulously crafted pastries. This special afternoon tea blurs the line between runway and patisserie.
Timed to follow the awards season from the Grammys to the Oscars, the collection draws inspiration from headline-making looks worn by Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Timothée Chalamet, Jenna Ortega, and Jeremy Strong. Executive Pastry Chef Brooke Martin has translated couture silhouettes, color palettes, and embellishments into six edible showpieces that arrive as the grand finale of a traditional afternoon tea service.
Chalamet’s butter-yellow Givenchy suit from the Academy Awards becomes a lemon biscuit finished with royal icing detailing, echoing the tailored sharpness of the original look. Sabrina Carpenter’s feathered, diamond-accented JW Anderson gown inspires a delicate vanilla meringue pavlova layered with milk chocolate crémeux and Earl Grey caramel.
Ariana Grande’s blush Schiaparelli gown, adorned with thousands of sequins, is reimagined as an exotic baba infused with coconut and lychee, crowned with white chocolate elements that reference the gown’s structure. Jenna Ortega’s gothic Givenchy ensemble translates into a espresso mousse creation studded with praline and encased in dulcey chocolate and gianduja accents.
Taylor Swift’s shimmering red Vivienne Westwood mini dress finds expression in a refined vanilla chiboust filled with tart cherry compote. Jeremy Strong’s viral teal velvet Golden Globes look becomes a vanilla sable adorned in royal icing.
The afternoon tea is housed inside the Terrace Tea Room with baby-blue tufted banquettes, hand-painted murals, and florals. Tea is poured into pink-and-white striped Bernardaud china as guests enjoy classic tea sandwiches, warm scones, and savory bites before the couture confections arrive on a three-tiered stand.
Prêt-à-Portea: The Red Carpet Collection 2026 is offered Friday through Sunday with seatings between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Reservations are recommended.
