9 Famous Films Booed at Cannes Film Festival: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

May 21, 2015  |   Contributor: Mila Pantovich

The 68th Cannes Film Festival is well underway and aside from the bizarre high heel controversy, it’s been going pretty well. The famed festival that has been known to debut some of the most beloved films has a pretty impressive list of contenders this year that are all hoping to come out on top, including Cate Blanchett’s Carol, and Macbeth starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. As much as the festival has the ability to launch films to stardom, it also has the ability to tear it into little confetti-sized pieces of ridicule.

May 18, 2015  |   Contributor: Marissa Stempien

Admittedly we only caught part of the Billboard Music Awards (it was Game of Thrones night, can you blame us?), but we made sure to catch all the looks on the red carpet. Jumpsuits dominated the night and were easily the most popular look of the evening, seen on everyone from Chrissy Teigen to Taylor Swift.

Gorgeous Gowns & Cringe-Worthy Designs: Red Carpet Looks from the 2015 Grammys

Feb 9, 2015  |   Contributor: Marissa Stempien

The Grammys are never intended to be a serious event—at least for the red carpet. This is where the most creative of music artists get to show their wild side, giving looks that make us marvel at their beauty, cringe at their tastelessness or collapse at the sheer baselessness of their sexuality.

Our Favorite Grammy Moments: From Sam Smith's Four Wins to Prince's Epic Side-Eye

Feb 9, 2015  |   Contributor: Mila Pantovich

This year's Grammy Awards were three-and-a-half-hours of somber moments that threatened to bog the entire evening down. Thankfully, there were some pretty great highlights that broke through the gloom—aside from the red carpet style. Legends were brought to the stage in big ways (Paul McCartney performed with Kanye West and Rihanna, and Annie Lennox joined Hozier for a two-punch performance) and Sam Smith made everyone smile with his joyful acceptance speeches. Beck surprised everyone (especially Kanye) with his Best Album win and Sia sung Chandelier with a dancing Kristen Wiig. And then there was Prince.

From the Clooney Burn to Jennifer Lopez's "Globes": The Best Jokes, Flubs, & Photobombs From the Golden Globes

Jan 12, 2015  |   Contributor: Mila Pantovich

Last night's Golden Globes brought us some surprising—though not disappointing—wins (congrats Wes Anderson!) and tons of on-point jokes from the comedic hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. A lot can be said for what the wins mean for the future of entertainment (especially in terms of television due to Netflix and Amazon scoring some important awards and the fact that every TV winner was a first-timer), and as always, the flicks that do well at the Globes have a pretty great chance at doing well in the Oscar race.
