The Atlanta Food and Wine Festival will be held May 10-13 in Midtown. The festival's goal is to bring together barbecue pit masters, award-winning chefs and mixologists, Master Sommeliers, fry cooks and local growers to highlight and celebrate the food and beverage traditions of the South.
The event features opportunities to learn about Southern cuisine and to taste some of the best and most innovative Southern dishes that chefs are creating today. Special attention is given to locally grown ingredients and Southern cooking traditions. Cooking demonstrations and classes, tasting tents, cocktail workshops and chef-created dinners are part of the festival.
Various ticketing packages are available including a Day Pass for $185, which includes one tasting tent, three learning experiences and a festival gift bag. A 3-Day Pass costs $500 and includes nine learning experiences, three tasting tent sessions, Pig Out Southern Style Party and festival gift bag. Guests who want access the most events and tasting tents, should consider a Connoisseur Day Pass for $700 or a Connoisseur 3-Day Pass for $2000.
A bit over your budget? You can purchase a ticket to one day's tasting tent for $75 if ordered by Saturday (March 31) or $100 after. The Friday, May 11, tent will be open 3-6 p.m., the Saturday, May 12 tent is set for 12:30-3:30 p.m. and the Sunday, May, 13 tent will be available 1:30-4:30 p.m.
