Las Vegas boasts an impressive array of fireworks demonstrations, while San Francisco offers up a beautiful vision of the bay for its own display, but it was Las Angeles that topped the of the number one city to catch the Independence Day displays. Chicago and San Francisco were close runners up, but America has spoken and there's no better place than the city of angels.
Sometimes it seems that there’s no place quite like the Hub when it comes to celebrating the Fourth of July, but a new survey begs to differ.
By its lights, Los Angeles tops the list as the ideal US city for saluting Independence Day, followed by Chicago and San Francisco.
The survey is from CardHub.com, a comparison credit-card website. Boston ranked sixth out of 30 cities rated by CardHub.com’s Fourth of July survey.
In a press release about its “Best & Worst Cities to Celebrate Independence Day in 2013,” CardHub.com noted: “Fourth of July spending is expected to be significantly higher in 2013 than in years past.
