With only a few years to go before hitting the milestone 50th Super Bowl, San Francisco is pulling out all the stops in an attempt to host what will likely be the most significant championship game for at least another, well, 50 years.
The NFL Draft is only a couple weeks away, and while that is obviously a big deal, the Bay Area faces a big moment shortly after that. In May, the San Francisco/Bay Area Super Bowl Committee will present their bid for Super Bowl 50 at the league meeting. Miami/South Florida will also present, and the league will decide which of the two will host the historic 50th Super Bowl.
San Francisco added a pair of heavy hitters to their bid committee, bringing in Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Young, and Super Bowl winning head coach George Seifert. I imagine Young and Seifert will be there to do some schmoozing, but I don't know what else to expect from them.
